    • FEDISAL Study: El Salvador Reintegration Activities Intended to Address the Root Causes of Irregular Migration, 2022

    In September and November 2022, Fundación Para la Educación Integral Salvadoreña (FEDISAL) conducted a rapid survey consisting of interviews with 35 key informants from various civil and public sector organizations providing support programs for the returnee population, ten returnees focus groups, and 497 individual returnee survey responses. This survey and subsequent analysis aimed to identify challenges faced by organizations providing support programs to returnees; inform decision makers on the needs of returnees, regarding workforce development and education; propose strategies to increase engagement of returnees in reintegration activities; and update the characteristics assigned by the Country Development Cooperation Strategies (CDCS) to returnees and people likely to migrate in the future.
