EK60 Water Column Sonar Data Collected During HB0706
Bottom Trawl Survey Protocol Development (HB0706, EK60). Cruise objectives include: 1) Investigate performance characteristics of new research bottom trawl; 2) Develop standard operating procedures for the NEFSC Bottom Trawl Survey; 3) Test operation and develop protocols for the use of the fish processing system; 4) Identify and address issues prior to conducting calibration activities with the NOAA FRV ALBATROSS IV in September 2007; and, 5) to test manufacturer’s modifications made to the ship’s hydrographic winches.
