Dissolved inorganic carbon, alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using CTD, bottle and other instruments from the THOMAS WASHINGTON in the South Atlantic Ocean from 1984-10-01 to 1984-10-22 (NCEI Accession 0117693)

Metadata Updated: May 1, 2025

This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from THOMAS WASHINGTON in the South Atlantic Ocean from 1984-10-01 to 1984-10-22 and retrieved during cruise Marathon-7 Cruise. These data include CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHOSPHATE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SILICATE, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA) and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Arnold L. Gordon and William M. Smethie Jr. of Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) as part of the GLODAPv2_31WT19841001 dataset.
