Chemical use

This is a summary of research and activities related to chemical use on Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge between 1992 and 2009. The chemicals used on the Refuge each year, as well as the locations in which they were used, are provided in this document. The primary use of chemicals on the Refuge was to remove invasive plant species- lespedeza, Canada thistle, Rubus parvifolius, reed canary grass, switch grass, brome grass, purple loosestrife, and sweet clover were a few of the targeted species.
