This public opinion poll survey aims at addressing two key areas. First, it seeks to assess the public’s viewpoint about local CSOs in Cambodia, thus indirectly measuring the impact of USAID and other donor programs’ impact on CSOs’ work. Second, it aims to identify citizens' expectations from CSOs’ in the society. The fieldwork for this mid-line public poll survey was conducted between November 14, 2018 and December 20, 2018. The survey team interviewed both, respondents in public places as well as those in households, allowing the study to capture heterogeneous characteristics of respondents. This ensures that the study produces unbiased survey results. Every respondent was screened using predetermined selection criteria before the interview. If the respondent did not meet desired criteria, the enumerator found another respondent and applied the same procedures. During the implementation period, the survey teams interviewed 874 respondents in urban areas and 1,231 respondents in rural areas across 19 provinces in Cambodia. The sample consisted of 1,033 men and 1,072 women over the age of 18. The findings of the midline public opinion poll survey are presented in this report in comparison to those in a baseline survey conducted in 2016.
