ASPIRES: Evaluation of a Social and Economic Empowerment Intervention for Vulnerable Girls in Zambezia, Mozambique

Metadata Updated: July 13, 2024

These data are from a mixed-methods evaluation of an intervention that aimed to reduce adolescent girls' vulnerability to HIV/AIDS acquisition in Zambezia Province, Mozambique by training them to sell appropriate and in-demand products door-to-door. Quantitative and qualitative data were collected at two time points for two groups of girls: those who participated in the intervention activities and those from communities that did not benefit from the intervention. This dataset includes only quantitative data. 883 girls participated in the first round and 773 participated in the second round. Details of the study design, sampling, populations, and analysis can be found in the data documentation file. Annotated surveys and a quick codebook are provided to translate between survey questions and variable names in the dataset.
