Arctic Freshwater Switchyard Project: Spring temperature and Salinity data collected by aircraft in the Arctic Ocean, May 2006 - May 2007 (NCEI Accession 0057319)

A program to study freshwater circulation (sea ice + upper ocean) in the "freshwater switchyard" between Alert (Ellesmere Island) and the North Pole.

The project uses aircraft to take hydrographic stations on sections across the continental slope northwest of Alert.
