U.S. Federal Mapping Coordination
The U.S. Mapping Coordination Footprints dataset consists primarily of Federal agency areas of interest for ocean and coastal mapping. This data is provided as shapefiles and raster files, primarily hosted on a NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping (IOCM) REST service, or the submitting agency's REST service. Associated with the spatial data are attributes such as project name, collection year, Point of Contact (POC) information, and Yes/No regions, among other fields. There are also metadata associated, such as the date published, the type of data being represented or collected, and the responsible agency, among other things.
