This dataset comprises Tomales Bay Water Quality data collected from May 1, 1967, until February 25, 1970. These observations were made from shore, but a small outboard whose official name is R/V Crago was used (call sign is WS 2159). The institution sponsoring the program is the Pacific Marine Station, Dillon Beach, California, 94929. The principal investigator is Dr. Edmund H. Smith. The position of the samples was determined by sighting from shore stations. The principal chart is the C and G S 5603. Times are given in Pacific Standard Time. There are three types of cards containing data. They are differentiated by numbers in column 78. Card type I (with a 1 punched in column 78) precedes each set of observations at a particular location. Each location was re-sampled approximately every two weeks during the period included by the above dates. Because the locations were determined by fixed shore features, the accuracy for relocating positions is within 50 feet for all locations.
