PROPOSITION 1 GRANTSThe Water Quality, Supply, and Infrastructure Improvement Act of 2014 (Proposition 1) provides funding to implement the three broad objectives of the California Water Action Plan: more reliable water supplies; the restoration of important species and habitat; and a more resilient, sustainably managed water resources system (water supply, water quality, flood protection, and environment). PROPOSITION 68 GRANTSThe California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, And Outdoor Access For All Act Of 2018 (Proposition 68) provides funding for CDFW grants for projects that: 1) improve a communitys ability to adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change; 2) improve and protect coastal and rural economies, agricultural viability, wildlife corridors, or habitat; and/or 3) develop future recreational opportunities, or enhance drought tolerance, landscape resilience, and water retention. GREENHOUSE GAS REDUCTION FUND GRANTSGreenhouse Gas Reduction Projects are funded under Californias Cap and Trade Programs Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF). These projects include mountain meadow and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta wetland restoration projects that will lead to reductions in greenhouse gases. RESTORATION GRANTS PROGRAMThis program funds projects based on their suitability for each grant, not based on specific grant applications. It began in 2022 and accepts applications on an ongoing basis, giving out grants on a monthly cycle. As of 2023, the available grants are: Drought - Protecting Salmon, Addressing Climate Impacts, Wetlands and Mountain Meadow Restoration, Wildlife Corridors, Proposition 1, and Proposition 68.
